On the Needles

I am currently working on a top down sweater for my nephew Angus. I am using Cascade Sierra, which is becoming one of my favorite yarns. The Pima cotton is very silky and the wool adds some give. I think it's great to work with. This is my second Knitting Pure & Simple sweater and I love working on the circulars. Actually, I love knowing I will have little or no finishing to do but get tired of endless rounds of knit stitches. Which leads to the second project I just started.

I am making the Lizard Ridge afghan (on the current Knitty pattern page http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/PATTlizardridge.html). The blanket will be 24 squares from Noro Kureyon and involves lots of short rows and wrapped stitches. I frogged it twice, but now I believe I am doing it right. This is definitely thinking knitting for me and it's fun to switch between the two projects when I get over the other one. Hooray, I blocked the first square the other night and I love it!
